Our qualified technicians work are highly skilled at servicing and repairing a wide range of problems.
Our experienced team are dedicated to getting you the right equipment for the job, whether that means upgrading an existing asset or specifying a new asset to meet your requirements. We aim to achieve a high quality of work to give your equipment peak performance and ongoing reliability.
Below are some of the more common problems which our technicians encounter.
In most cases, the price of a motor itself is trivial compared to the cost of unscheduled downtime. Our preventative maintenance programs include motor servicing and replacement motor brushes to ensure the equipment works at its peak for longer. We will then monitor the voltage at each service interval and record the information as part of the complete history of your asset.
Whatever the problem, our qualified technicians will inspect your equipment and provide a quote to make the necessary repairs. We always source parts and components from the Original End Manufacturer (OEM) to ensure the equipment is kept in-line with its original specifications but our purchasing team can also quote you on equivalent parts to fit within a budget.
We carry a range of standard replacement tubes, tyres and wheels for varying types of equipment.
If we don’t have one in stock, we will source one that matches within a day. If the wearing or damage is minimal, we can replace tyres, respray chipped paint and replace bearings and housings.
If your equipment is showing a low voltage reading, even after a full charge cycle, you may need new batteries. But on occasion, the issue may stem from bad wiring or circuitry. Our technicians will always look for the root cause of the issue and apply the appropriate fix.
Not only do we carry a huge range of replacement wheels and castors, but we also offer recoating services. If you have a drive wheel or heavy duty wheel that has a polyurethane coating on a cast iron centre, we can strip off the worn layer and recoat it for a fraction of the price of buying a new one.
One of the most common sources of motor operating problems is overheating. it’s no secret that motors produce heat as a by-product of their operation. This heat is a result of winding resistance and other inefficiencies in the generation and induction of the magnetic flux used to produce torque at the motor shaft. The rule of thumb for motor life expectancy is “every 10 degrees rise in motor temperature results in a 50% decrease of motor life”.
St Vincent's Hospital has many campuses around Melbourne with our patient's needs ranging from emergency treatment, day care procedures, theatres, rehab and all the way to aged care. Each section needing its own specialised moving/lifting equipment. St Vincent's have used Serviced Equipment for many years starting back when they were known as Electrodrive. They carry out all the maintenance, on/off site repairs and also supply spare parts for us to install in house. Over this time I have had no problem getting a tech on site or even advice over the phone with regard to checking things before they arrive. I often email the service department asking for spare parts etc and they are delivered within days. I cannot recommend using Service Equipment services highly enough. I find them to be prompt and very professional.

Wanted to thank serviced equipment for the support we receive. Belinda is always very helpful and prompt to get a tech out here if it’s a service or break down. On a couple of occasions no field tech was available so was organised to send unit to the shop was a hassle free experience. Thank You
